Overnighters
Folks On Spokes holds a number of overnight bicycle trips each year.
Some trips involve transporting bikes and gear to an area by car and using a B&B, motel, or camp site as a base for bike rides. On one recent trip, Folks On Spokes drove to Brodhead WI, stayed at a B&B, and spent several days riding the roads and rail trails around Brodhead, Monroe, and New Glarus. On another recent trip, Folks On Spokes drove to Buchanan, MI,stayed at camp ground, and spent a weekend bicycle touring Michigan wineries.
Other trips are completely by bike. One popular annual trip has Folks On Spokes riding their bicycles approximately 50 miles from Homewood to the Indiana Sand Dunes, where they overnight at a Dunes area motel. Some return the next day, while others spend an additional day enjoying the beach.
