About this event
We will start off from Porter Beach next door which has free parking near the beach. From there we will follow along the lakefront east into Indiana Dunes State Park and stay along the beach until we reach Trail 7 which takes us into the dunes backcountry and to the Nature Center. From there we will follow Trail 2 along the swampland and to the County Road through the park which takes us to Trail 3 north through the dunes to the observatory. From here it is a short walk back to Porter Beach.
The hike is approximately 5 miles.
