Join us on Sunday, June 8, 2025 for the FOS Spring Fling Ride -
44 years sponsoring one of Chicagoland's premier invitationals.

START LOCATION: Monee Reservoir, Catfish Shelter
27341 S Ridgeland Ave, Monee, IL 60449

Registration Opens May 1, 2025
Registration Before June 6: $25
June 7 or on-site reservations: $30

Mail in registrations must be received by May 31
Online registration ends June 7

Day of registration allowed: Cash and check only.
(Credit cards cannot be accepted on the day of ride registration).

Day of registration open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Please plan to pick up your rider packets by 10:00 a.m. If you plan on riding the longer routes, we ask that you start before 8:00 a.m. Sag support ends at 3:30 p.m.

Offering 4 Cloverleaf routes leaving from Monee Reservoir:
*25, 37, 44, or 67 miles
*Longer routes use the Dog Park rest stop.
*There is not an official rest stop for the 25 mile route. However, all riders will pass a gas station at approximately ten miles in.
*All routes end at Monee Reservoir where there is the final rest stop offering refreshments.

Refreshments: Homemade cookies, muffins, fruit, pickle juice, pb&j sandwiches

Spring Fling Fees:

   Thru 6-6 June 7 and 8:

Adult Rider: $25 $30
Child 12 and Under    *5 *5
*FOS Single Membership $17 $17
*FOS Family Membership    $27 $27

*Discount for new members only ($3 off regular membership fee of $20 single/$30 family

*All riders aged seventeen and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the ride.

Your Fee Entitles You To:

Map of your chosen route (25, 37, 44 or 67) from Monee Reservoir.

Access to all rest stops with fruit, drinks, sandwiches, and homemade cookies.
SAG support

After the ride, join us for relaxation, food and beverages at the south end of the Reservoir which is reserved for our use.

This ride takes place regardless of weather.

The success of our 2024 invitational ride enabled our Club to make generous donations to the League of American Bicyclists, Ride Illinois, Active Transportation Alliance, and Major Taylor Trail Keepers.

Safety Guidelines:

Your safety is important to us. Please obey all traffic laws, practice courtesy, communicate with fellow riders, ride single file when vehicles are approaching from either direction – and complete the adult or child bike safety quiz at www.bikesafetyquiz.com

All riders are required to wear a helmet approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Masks will be provided on SAG rides if required by the driver.

Directions from the northeast:

Take I-57 South to Monee-Manhattan exit. Then west on Monee-Manhattan road to S. Ridgeland. Go south on S. Ridgeland to Pauling. East on Pauling to cross I-57. Resume going south on S. Ridgeland. Reservoir entrance is on the left. Once on the reservoir road, turn right to Catfish Shelter.

Directions from the northwest:

Take I-80 east to I-57 South. Take I-57 south to Monee-Manhattan exit, then west on Monee Manhattan Road to S. Ridgeland. Go south on S. Ridgeland to Pauling. Go East on Pauling to cross I-57. Resume going south on S. Ridgeland. Reservoir entrance is on the left. Once on the reservoir road, turn right to Catfish Shelter.
