From the Cultural Center, we will hike south on Michigan Ave as far as the Hilton Hotel, seeing the tree there and in the Blackstone. Heading west to Wabash Ave, we‘ll hike north to see the tree in the 125 S Wabash building and then in the Palmer House opposite. We‘ll head further west along Adams to Revival Food Hall for lunch. After lunch we‘ll head north on Dearborn, past Daley Plaza with the Christkindlmarket. Veering east on Randolph St we‘ll see the Macy store windows and Christmas tree in the Walnut Room. Then north on Wabash Ave. to see the tree in Trump Tower, then east to the Wrigley Building with its outdoor tree. Then north on Michigan Ave to see the tree in Jane Byrne plaza, then to the tree in the Peninsula Hotel, a bit west on Superior St. Then north to 900 N Michigan Shops, cross the street for the Drake Hotel. Then south on Michigan Ave to the John Hancock building and the outdoor tree in Apple Plaza, winding up to see the outdoor tree in Millennium Park opposite the Cultural Center where we started. Total distance will be about 6 miles. With various stops, the time will likely be 4 hours, although some may want to leave sooner. The Metra train arrives near the Cultural Center at 10:15 AM, so we should be able to start the hike promptly at 11 AM.
