Wolf Lake - pavilion parking lot

the hike starts at the pavilion at Wolf Lake in Indiana and follows the paved trail to Hammond casino and then continues eastward along the lakeshore to Whiting Beach. On the return will be lunch at Center Lounge in town and the trail goes on along Lake George to start. Round trip is about 6 miles.

meet at 155th Street at Central Avenue in Oak Forest for the annual Irish parade. It lasts about an hour and you have the option to continue the fun at a pub crawl starting from Marcotte‘s Pub at 155th and Cicero Ave. There are five taverns in the immediate area and we may stop at three or more and end the crawl at Beggar‘s Pizza for a late lunch.

Although we‘ve hiked this trail before, it is still a great hike and a nice way to celebrate the early signs of spring - maple sugar season. Trails are relatively easy; hike is about 4 miles with a walk through of pioneer sugaring exhibits. Lunch after the hike.

Palos Forest Preserve - Forty Acre Woods parking lot

I will be leading a hike which begins at 40 Acre Woods in Palos Forest Preserve and heads east through woods and hills and then swings around to the stairs. We will go up the stairs and then head back to start. The loop hike is about 5 miles.

meet at 111th street and Hohman Avenue and walk about a mile east to Western Avenue to watch the parade. After the parade we will return to the Knights Of Columbus council for a post parade party.
